I've been looking for a mini Swiss army knife, and a handy ultra-small torch and this combo pack was the perfect fit at a very good price. I'm taking them both to France in my back-pack on a snowboarding holiday.

This really suits your needs if you just want the tiniest knife and torch - if you want anything bigger you'll be disappointed. The torch takes a single AA battery, not AAA as the other review said.

I have been a fan of the Maglite brand for about ten years when I bought a mini Maglite which continues to serve me very well. The Solitaire in this set is the most compact torch Mag produce and is made to the same high standards as the rest of the range. Using a single AAA battery it provides a good beam you focus by twisting the cap.

Victorinox multi tools are fantastic quality. I have a Climber model already. I must admit that for me the main attraction is the quality of the product. They are a pleasure to own and use. The tool in this set has a narrow blade, scissors and nail file. It's very compact and ideal for keeping on your person. When you use Victorinox scissors you will wonder why most regular scissors are so awfully made, particularly if you are left handed.

Presented in a neat case with battery and torch lead, this is an excellent set that is an ideal introduction to these brands and will delight anybody who appreciates well designed and manufactured tools.
